Yesterday I recieved a eprom upgrade chip from Ginn Motorsports. CHip is stage 3 upgrade and according to the Ginn's site the chip does some good numbers. After installing GMS chip into my ECU I went to test drive to for about an hour on the highway accelerating fast and doing different tests with the car. I had the base timing set at 15 btdc before the tests. I defenetly felt lose of power and slower spool up time than my actual stock eprom. Today I will do some tests with nprobe and see whats a difference. What I guess is that GINN ship is too advanced on low loads and too retarded on high loads, thats why my spool up time suffered and top end did not feel as hard pulling as stock. I tryed it with water injection and without. Also my idle is not as stable as before I guess ECU has to learn the eprom for while. I'll let you guys all know later what are results, later I'll try to read the eprom in my eprom reader and see whats the difference. Am not saying that GINN chip upgrade is bad, am saying that my first impression was bad, perhaps later with few 1/4 mile tests I relise that is actually better. I'll let you guys know.
